POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Owner Furnished Equipment Policy

 

Orozco Smart Home Solutions, LLC (OSHS, LLC) does NOT Warranty, Guarantee, or Troubleshoot and Diagnose any Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE), Irrespective if OSHS, LLC is an authorized dealer of the provided equipment. 

 

We will be happy to install any and all OFE, in as-is condition. 

 

Any issues that may arise due to OFE installed will be immediately brought to the attention of the homeowner, and all other work pertinent to this issue will be stopped. 

 

Under no circumstances will OSHS, LLC be liable for any OFE that does not work, fit, or is otherwise incompatible with any future or existing systems. Likewise, all Labor and Programming costs on OFE are non-refundable.

 

OSHS, LLC may, at its discretion and for a fee, offer troubleshooting and diagnostic services to OFE. 

 

Orders and Proposals

 

OSHS, LLC has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. Any and all equipment, and wiring provided and installed by OSHS, LLC is guaranteed to be free from damage, or defect, or we will repair or replace the item free of charge.

All warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers, and OSHS, LLC does not imply or provide any extended warranties on any equipment provided. 

​

Deposit is required for ALL parts ordering. Remaining balances become due at project completion, or not less then one week (7 days) prior to beginning of next project phase.

 

Change Orders and Unforeseen Complications

 

Additional work requested by the customer, but not listed in your Original signed proposals scope of work will, at the discretion of OSHS, LLC, be completed for an additional charge AFTER all proposed work is completed. ALL Charges for additional work requested will be due in FULL upon receipt of a submitted and approved Change Order.

During consultation while a technician is inspecting the property and work area for installation, technicians will advise customers of any potentially UNFORESEEN COMPLICATIONS which may arise that may incur further labor and materials costs. The following are only a few scenarios in the home that could result in unforeseen complications:

1. Closed walls - Naturally in most homes walls will be closed and rooms will be finished, however, for certain installations where technicians would need to cut into the walls, if a structure is not detectable by our instruments such as piping, solid obstructions or infrastructure that we: can not, or should not move or cut through, then additional charges may be incurred as we troubleshoot a work around or a change order if a new installation plan is necessary.

 

2. Obstacles and obstructions - In some cases, it is necessary to run cable or install equipment in crawl spaces, basements or attics. These spaces are prime locations for obstructions such as HVAC systems, structural load bearing components or other necessary large equipment that technicians would have to work around in order to complete the installation and may incur additional costs

 

3. Older Homes and Constructions - Some homes are very old and the construction of these old homes are not up to code with current standards. When installing new components to old homes it may be necessary to update the structure of the area to suit the new equipment. Depending on the situation this may be far out of the scope of work OSHS, LLC is authorized to do and a change order and new plan may be necessary.

During the consultation process we try to review and identify as many potential issues with the installation before work is started; however, complications do arise and depending on the circumstances there may be the need to charge for additional unexpected labor and material costs above and beyond the scope of work to overcome these complications and give you, the customer, the level of quality installations we have built our reputation on.

Refunds, Returns, and Cancellations Policy

 

To be eligible for a Refund or Return for equipment purchased through OSHS, LLC the item must:

 

  1. Be installed by an OSHS, LLC technician not more than 90 days prior to the request. 

  2. Receive an RMA authorization.

  3. Have all original packing material and literature.

  4. Be shipped back to OSHS, LLC at the address listed below with an RMA number on the outside of the package.

  5. All items returned as defective MUST be inspected upon arrival and tested for functionality. 

 

Most Refunds will be processed in the same manner in which payment was received. Cash payments will be refunded in the form of a Money Order. 

 

Please be aware that it can take up to 5-10 business days for Credit Card/Debit Card refunds to process. Any questions with respect to processing times should be directed to your financial institution.

 

Equipment Returns without an RMA, will NOT be processed. Returns marked as Defective that are found to be in working order will incur a 25% restocking fee charged to the refund amount. Canceled items that HAVE been shipped will be refunded, less a 25% restocking fee and shipping costs, AFTER the item has been delivered to OSHS, LLC. Canceled items that HAVE NOT been shipped will be refunded in full immediately though processing times may vary based on your financial institution.

Labor, and processing fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
